May Basket

When I was young, we always made May baskets out of construction paper. We would pick wild violets and flowers from the yard. We would put them in our homeade basket with some candy. And then we would deliver them to our neighbors. It was lots of fun and I got to know our neighbors. Most of them had cookies to share with me, my brother and sisters. This painting brings back all those memories for me. The basket is much larger and has many more flowers. I think this is a happy painting, I hope you enjoy it.
