I painted this on sight in a favorite Colorado location. It was near a cabin I was staying at in the forest (near Jefferson City). I like the way the shadows crossed the path and somehow to me it gave the painting a deeper perspective. Forest or wooden paths with strong sunlight and shadows are a favorite subject of mine.
