I live and paint near the heart of the U.S., Salina, Kansas.

There’s a safety about this location that encourages me to step beyond the normal. I don’t pretend that my paintings are better than others. But they certainly are different from others.

I admire the skill of photorealist artists. But truthfully I am bored by perfection. I enjoy discovering or making marks that indicate that a breathing/bleeding human held some sort of tool to create a painting or object. So sometimes I will just leave marks as tiny signatures of my presence.

My education has been abnormal, rich in variety and breadth. Great instructors have taught me basics and pushed me to experiment and make in my own emerging style. I am grateful.

I welcome you to my website. I hope we can become friends.
