En Torcha

En Torcha is a traditional nighttime street event in Guatemala City, Guatemala. I was fortunate enough to see this event a couple years ago. The runner's with their large torches running in the dark streets was dramatic. I had never seen anything like it. People cheered them and stood in awe as they passed by. It made a lasting impression on me and I wanted to recreate that sight and that feeling. I hope someday to be able to see it again in person.
