Windows of the Soul

This model's inquisitive eyes became the focus of my painting. As I know you've heard the famous saying "The eyes are the windows to the soul" - I don't know if I could see his soul or not but they were definitely windows into his being. I find that the eyes of persons whether in a commission piece, sketching individuals in our local Ad Astra coffee shop/bookstore or at Burger King are definitely windows. The eyes of people say much about their personality, their physical condition, their joys and their sadness's. Eyes truly are windows.
