In late 2023, I participated in "Blaze," the Lincoln Art Center Invitational (coordinated by Ruth Moritz). I understood the title of the exhibition to refer to the trail that we have blazed with our lives during the last several years. Since my recent past included multiple back surgeries, my image became this painting.
