Florence at the Opera

"Florence Foster Jenkens", was a wealthy woman in New York who believed that she was an Opera quality singer. She was not. But through her wealth and influence, she was able to arrange opportunities for her to sing in New York. I saw a movie based on her life, the movie starred Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant. I winced and laughed at the movie depiction and decided during the movie that I had to try to capture her personality and musical confidence. This little painting resulted. I think I will look up that movie and see it again.
